Our Purpose

At our Global Supply Chain Planning department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on delivering best-in-class service levels to our customers by ensuring we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time through the most cost-effective channels. Senior Supply Chain Planners are directly involved in connecting end user customer signals to manufacturing sites, optimising product flow across the global supply chain and delivering on core KPI’s to support business objectives.

This role has a hybrid work model with on-site expectations in-line with leadership guidance.

The role includes some of the following activities:

  • Analyses, develops, and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
  • Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns.
  • Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Requires a Level 8 Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
  • Masters/MBA preferred.
  • Medical Device/Medical Supplies Manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent statistical and mathematics skills.
  • APICs CPIM/CSCP.
  • Software skills including MS Office (Access & Excel focus).
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Power BI & Blue Yonder.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Experience implementing/utilizing LEAN/Six Sigma techniques a plus.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution planning, logistics, warehousing, or transportation.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$84,800.00-$127,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

U.S. Candidates

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
