Job Description:
Responsible for ensuring that materials, components, and services supplied by external vendors meet the company's quality, reliability, and compliance requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle, from new product development to field operation and warranty support.
This role serves as the technical support for supplier quality management, working closely with cross-functional teams and domestic and international suppliers to drive supplier development, mitigate quality risks, ensure compliance with quality standards, and promote continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Manage supplier quality performance to ensure materials, components, and manufacturing processes comply with technical specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements;
Conduct supplier qualification activities, process and quality system audits, and supplier performance evaluations for both domestic and international suppliers;
Perform and support Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Supplier First Article Inspection (SFAI), Manufacturing First Article Inspection (FAI), process validations, and production try-outs;
Lead the investigation and resolution of supplier nonconformities by conducting root cause analysis and coordinating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), ensuring their effectiveness;
Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commissioning, and suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues during product development, production, delivery, commissioning, operation, and warranty periods;
Monitor supplier performance through quality metrics and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement;
Develop, review, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and supplier quality documentation;
Deliver technical guidance and quality training to suppliers and internal teams regarding quality requirements, methodologies, and best practices;
Prepare technical reports, quality analyses, audit reports, and executive presentations to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives;
Support new product introduction (NPI), supplier development, and strategic quality improvement projects;
Ensure proper document control, traceability, and compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements;
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supllier Quality, Process, Quality ou Supplier Auditing;
Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa;
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and supplier quality management systems;
Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI), Supplier First Article Inspection (SFAI), incoming inspection, and manufacturing processes;
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills;
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office;
English proficiency (written and spoken) required;
Spanish will be a differential;
Valid driver's license is mandatory;
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
