At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.

About the Role & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and coach academically at-risk students to improve success and persistence.
  • Develop and implement advising programs and initiatives that support departmental strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and health/wellness services to coordinate proactive student care.
  • Apply current theories in academic advising and student identity development to daily work.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilize SIS and predictive analytics systems effectively.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for an energetic, collaborative professional with strong empathy and a desire to contribute to an innovative team.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in higher education with a strong professional interest in academic advising and student success/persistence.
  • Experience and/or strong professional interest in advising a diverse student population (including students who identify as Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and/or Asian Pacific Islander).
  • Empathy, listening skills, and a desire to work in a progressive, student-centered office.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and use technology/software programs (SIS/predictive analytics focus).
  • Strong desire to work as part of a team and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
  • Some evening, weekend, and holiday hours required

  • A diverse and inclusive community committed to lifelong learning and collaboration.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays, including a winter break, to support work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and life insurance plans.
