Position Summary
The Strategic & Business Assistant serves as the “brain” and “hub” of business operations, working closely with senior leadership to gain insights into strategic direction, deeply engage in project execution, and collaborate across functions. This role plays a critical part in driving alignment, enabling informed decision-making, and ensuring the effective delivery of strategic objectives.
Main Tasks
1. Strategic Planning
- Support senior leadership in industry research and business performance analysis.
- Participate in business strategy formulation and key management meetings.
- Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
- Drive execution, follow-up, and tracking of key decisions and strategic initiatives.
2. Market & Industry Insights
- Develop a deep understanding of industry trends and competitive dynamics.
- Combine market intelligence with the company’s solution capabilities to generate actionable business insights.
- Identify business growth opportunities and deliver high-value industry and market analysis reports for business teams.
3. Business & Project Support
- Support R&D, application, sales, marketing, and other functions in implementing key strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure project milestones and objectives are achieved.
4. Organizational Communication
- Prepare and deliver regular business and operational analysis reports to support global organizational alignment and collaboration.
5. Operational & Executive Support
- Coordinate leadership schedules and organize important meetings.
- Handle related documentation, communications, and follow-ups efficiently.
6. Ad-hoc Assignments
- Complete ad-hoc tasks assigned by leadership and proactively support various company initiatives as required.
- Accept international assignment in Germany headquarters and business travel.
Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree or above; Business school is preferred.
Experience
- Strong strategic thinking and learning capabilities, with excellent logical reasoning, structured thinking, and problem-solving skills in business analysis.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, management analysis, or management consulting; experience in a similar in-house (corporate) strategic role is a plus.
- Prior industrial or manufacturing consulting experience is preferred; experience in the automotive and new energy vehicle (NEV) industry is an advantage.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different countries and cultural backgrounds.
- Highly self-driven, with outstanding communication, coordination, and project management capabilities.
Other skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), with strong ability to visualize insights and communicate ideas clearly.
- Fluent English as a working language, with good listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; overseas work or study experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to work under pressure, with a strong team mindset, sense of ownership, and accountability.
