What You’ll Do:

Blue Hour Studios lives at the intersection of culture, content, creators and commerce, and our Strategy team uncovers the interesting connections that helps brands succeed in a social-first world. We’re looking for a passionate, insightful, and deeply curious Senior Strategist with a record of success to join our team.

You’ll work across a portfolio of clients to uncover rich audience insights and craft strategy deliverables that lead to breakthrough campaigns and inspire creative ideas that people can’t help but engage with. You’ll also support new business efforts and agency thought leadership, particularly in developing unique perspectives within our continued focus areas of Social-First & Subcultures. The Senior Strategist reports into our Head of Strategy.

Strategy

  • Lead research and discovery to uncover cultural insights and social trends that fuel engaging social and creator strategies that drive results for our clients.
  • Collaborate closely with account and creative teams to determine the right strategic approach to a client ambition or challenge, and working cross-functionally to make sure we deliver exceptional work.
  • Build decks and drive overall narrative of campaign presentations that clearly communicate our ideas, insights, and recommendations, leaving clients captivated and ready to embrace our vision.
  • Develop and present clear, thought-provoking strategy deliverables, including social strategy, creative briefs, campaign tactical plans & communications plans.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to innovate our agency approach, and help the creative team uncover social-first trends that will inspire breakthrough creative.
  • Write creative briefs, and facilitate brainstorms and client workshops to inspire great creative and strategic work.

New Business & Thought Leadership

  • Develop thought-provoking new business pitches by identifying trends (in social and broader culture) and insights (audience, category, brand) that drive exceptional social ideas & creator recommendations.
  • Support the ongoing development of our Social-First Subculture methodology, through research and tactical deliverables that help our clients take inspiration from social communities and trends to niche down content.
  • Drive the development of Blue Hour POV briefings and social posts to provide timely insights in the social and broader marketing landscape. Even better if you have experience as a content creator or are willing to give it a try.

Who You Are:

  • You love social media and understand that social now drives culture. You’re curious about online communities and how trends emerge.
  • You ‘get’ each social platform and have a unique POV on content and creative strategy for brands on each platform.
  • You may have a list that exists in your head of your favorite emerging social content creators.
  • You’ve been complimented unironically for your deck making abilities.
  • You understand the importance and differences between research and insights.
  • You have an endless curiosity about culture and social subcultures. If you’re not familiar with a niche community, your curiosity takes you down rabbit holes on TikTok, Reddit, Discord, etc. to learn more.
  • You can break down complex ideas into simple, compelling narratives that resonate with any audience.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and are a good multitasker who can effectively prioritize cross-functional work to achieve success across multiple projects.

Additional Requirements:

  • Have experience working in social strategy and building social-first and influencer campaigns for a creative agency or a brand.
  • Have experience with research tools (e.g., MRI Simmons, Brandwatch, Helixa), and social media analytics.
  • Are comfortable presenting to senior clients and internal teams.
  • Are a self-starter that has demonstrated initiative in past roles.

Salary Range

$110,000.00 - $125,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity. As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach.
