The Role

The Senior Strategic Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating business-as-usual (BAU) projects across the Park Avenue Securities platform. This role partners with functional leaders in customer service, relationship management, operations, due diligence & research, supervision and business risk, and business development to turn strategies into executed initiatives. The Senior Strategic Project Manager oversees the entire project life cycle, from concept and planning through execution, launch, and post-implementation KPI tracking, ensuring that day-to-day enhancements and process improvements support the firm’s strategic objectives. Unlike enterprise-wide transformation programs led by the Business Transformation Office, this position focuses on continuous improvement within existing business processes and systems while ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.

You are

A proactive and detail-oriented project leader who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment. You excel at balancing multiple priorities while maintaining quality and compliance, and you bring strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and foster collaboration across teams. You are comfortable managing both technical and business aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and you approach challenges with adaptability and a focus on continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.

You will
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of BAU projects, defining objectives, requirements, and success criteria with business partners.

  • Develop and manage project plans with timelines, milestones, and budgets; monitor progress, risks, and dependencies to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FINRA, SEC) and internal governance standards while maintaining quality and risk controls.

  • Facilitate collaboration across internal teams and external vendors to align initiatives with business objectives and enhance client service.

  • Deliver clear, executive-ready status reports and dashboards summarizing progress, KPIs, and key decisions.

  • Track post-launch performance metrics, capture lessons learned, and implement continuous improvement strategies.

  • Drive change management efforts, including adoption plans, training, and communication strategies to ensure smooth implementation.

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred.

  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification; Agile or Lean certifications are a plus.

  • 7+ years of project management experience in the wealth management, broker dealer, or financial services industry, demonstrating a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.

  • Strong knowledge of broker dealer operations, investment products, trading platforms, and regulatory requirements (FINRA, SEC).

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading cross functional teams, influencing stakeholders, and presenting updates to executive leadership.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, client centric environment and adapt to evolving business needs and market conditions.

Reporting Relationships
