The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio
This position is office-based hybrid (Munich or Berlin) OR Remote Germany (if not based in either location).
Partnerships at Personio is more than building out our partner network, it is an integral part of our payroll strategy! The Partnerships team develops our tax advisor partner network to generate business for Personio, complement our payroll product offering with our partners payroll services and strengthen our brand through long-term relationships.
As a Senior Strategic Partner Manager, you will be responsible for the acquisition and development of a reciprocal portfolio of tax advisor partners. Together with these partners, we offer a joint payroll solution to our clients, where the partners complement our payroll software by offering their payroll services on top of it. The combined offering is strategically important for Personio's future growth and long-term value creation for our customers.
Besides the commercial acquisition and activation of the tax advisor partner portfolio the person will have a crucial role in further developing and optimizing our payroll partnership business motion.
This is a quota-bearing position focused on partner channel sales movements and creating sustainable "win-win-win" business opportunities for our customers, tax advisor partners & Personio.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
- Work strategically in acquiring new promising tax advisor partners to build a transactional and reciprocal partner portfolio and thereby grow our joint payroll business
- Develop strong and trustworthy relationships with our partner's economic decision makers and payroll leaders
- Implement joint go-to-market (GTM) plans with our partners, including co-marketing initiatives, sales training, and enablement programs
- Plan and run (co-hosted) partner events and activities and manage partner marketing communications with support from Personio marketing, within budgetary guidelines and deadlines
- Evaluate performance of partnership activities and adapt them accordingly
- Collaborate closely with the Payroll Sales, Payroll Operations, Partner Enablement and Partner Marketing teams
Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
- You have several years of work experiences combined in Partnerships, Business Development, Sales, Channel Sales, as a Digitization Consultant or Strategy Consultant (ideally with Go-to-market experience)
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or economics or a related field, Masters's/MBA is a plus
- You are ambitious, commercially-minded and able to make trade-offs on time and investments to leverage projects and partnerships for maximum impact to Personio and our customers
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Ideally, you have experience navigating stakeholders in larger organizations
- Ideally, you bring SaaS experience and a strong interest in software technology and HR tech.
- Personal experience in working in or with tax advisor businesses or in a commercial role at a payroll software provider is a plus
- You are willing to travel regularly within Germany
- You are fluent in German & English
