Drive the technology that powers one of the nation’s largest healthcare companies. CVS Health is seeking a Sourcing Category Manager to lead strategy for our IT Healthcare Software & Platforms category—spanning medical records software, digital payer tools, revenue cycle tech, claims systems, and VAR management.
In this high‑visibility, independent contributor role, you’ll shape sourcing strategy, influence enterprise technology decisions, and unlock measurable P&L value across a $10B+ indirect spend portfolio.
What You’ll Do- Own the sourcing strategy for key healthcare technology categories
- Build strong relationships with IT leaders and guide high‑impact sourcing events
- Use market insights, analytics, and vendor intelligence to drive savings and efficiency
- Lead competitive bids (RFX), influence contract strategy, and optimize supplier partnerships
- Represent Procurement on major enterprise initiatives and transformation projects
- Serve as the category expert, presenting insights and opportunities to senior leadership
- 7+ years professional experience, including 5–8 in Sourcing, Procurement, Finance, Analytics, Supply Chain, Consulting, or similar roles
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Bachelor’s required; MBA a plus
- Experience with e‑sourcing tools (Ariba eSourcing preferred)
- Hybrid role based in Cumberland, RI; Hartford, CT; or Northbrook, IL
- Onsite 2-3 days per week
- Up to 10% travel

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
