The Role
Work directly with the Co-CEO, Founders Associate, Board, and senior leadership to lead cross-functional strategic initiatives end-to-end. Structure problems, perform rigorous analysis and market research, build executive-grade materials, drive alignment and implementation across product, GTM, engineering, HR, and operations, and act as a trusted, discreet strategic partner representing the Co-CEO.
Summary Generated by Built In
As (Senior) Strategic Consultant in the Co-CEO Office, you will work directly alongside the Founders Associate together with the Co-CEO, Board, and the Senior Leadership Team on the strategic initiatives, decisions, and cross-functional challenges that define osapiens' direction. This is a role at the intersection of strategy and execution - one where analytical rigor, clear thinking, a strong hands-on mentality, (very) high speed, and the ability to drive complex work forward matter more than hierarchy or title.
This is not a traditional consulting role. You will own workstreams from framing to completion, build the analyses and materials that shape company direction, and be trusted with access and information that are often strictly confidential. The problems you will work on do not belong to any single function - they are cross boundaries, carry high stakes, or require a level of rigor and independence. And to be very clear: this is not a role for polished slide decks and stepping back. It requires someone who rolls up their sleeves, gets into the detail, and sees things through to completion themselves.
We are looking for someone who has learnt or built the analytical and structural foundation at a top-tier consulting firm or in an in-house strategy consulting - and is now ready to deploy that toolkit inside a fast-scaling SaaS company where the decisions are real, the pace is (very) high, and the impact is immediate. If you want to shape how a company thinks and operates at the highest level, this is the role.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Initiative Leadership
- Own and drive the Co-CEO's most critical strategic initiatives - from initial problem structuring and analysis through to recommendation, decision, and implementation follow-through.
- Lead projects that cut across product, GTM, engineering, HR, and operations - acting as the Co-CEO's representative and ensuring alignment, momentum, and accountability across teams.
- Build and maintain executive-level materials and trackers that give the Co-CEO a clear, real-time view of strategic priorities and the decisions that need to be made.
Rhythm of the Business & Strategic Partner
- Act as a thought partner to the Co-CEO and Founders Associate - sharpening thinking, stress-testing assumptions, and pressure-testing strategic decisions before they reach the board or leadership team.
- Bring consulting-grade rigor to problems that have previously been handled informally - structuring thinking, building frameworks, and creating clarity where there was ambiguity by establishing a clear rhythm of the business.
Strategic Analysis & Market Intelligence
- Conduct structured deep dives into market dynamics, competitive positioning, customer and buyer behavior, and emerging trends that inform osapiens' strategic direction.
- Evaluate new market opportunities, product expansion scenarios, and geographic growth options - providing structured analysis and clear strategic recommendations.
- Transform raw data, market signals, and qualitative input into clear strategic insights that can be acted on at the Co-CEO and board level.
Executive Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Represent the Co-CEO in internal workstreams - operating with the authority and judgement while building strong, trusted working relationships across all functions.
- Prepare the Co-CEO for external engagements with key customers, partners, investors, and industry forums.
- Communicate complex analysis and strategic recommendations clearly and with impact to audiences ranging from working teams to the board - adapting depth and format to the audience.
- Handle sensitive information with complete discretion and act as a reliable, low-friction partner to the Co-CEO and Founders Associate in all interactions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2–6 years of experience in management consulting (MBB, or equivalent), strategic in-house consulting or at a fast-scaling SaaS enterprise - the analytical, structural and hands-on foundation this role demands is non-negotiable.
- Exceptional analytical and structural thinking - you can take a complex, ambiguous problem, break it down rigorously, and synthesize it into a clear, actionable recommendation.
- Hands-on and proactive - you identify what needs to happen and make it happen, without waiting to be directed. You finish things.
- World-class communication skills in German and English - written and verbal. You communicate concise, precise, and board-ready – always with a smile ;-).
- High professional maturity - you are comfortable and credible in a room with the CEO and Board, and you operate with the discretion and composure that demands.
- Fluent with AI tools - you actively use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent to accelerate analysis, manage parallel workstreams, and handle a high volume of action items.
- Entrepreneurial mindset - energized by ambiguity, speed, and the opportunity to build something meaningful, rather than looking for defined structure and predictable rhythms.
- MBA or equivalent degree from a best-in-class university with outstanding academic record.
What this role is Not
This is not a role for someone looking for a defined lane, a structured project pipeline, or the predictable rhythm of a consulting engagement. The agenda shifts fast. Topics are often sensitive. The role is designed for someone who is energized by that reality, not someone who needs structure imposed from above. If you are looking for a steppingstone while you decide what to do next, this is the wrong place.
