Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will support the Chief Data Officer (CDO) of a federal Agency in Springfield, VA. You will play a key role in advancing the Agency’s data-driven initiatives, communications strategy, and organizational transformation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting the Office of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) in areas such as communications strategy, policy development, data literacy, data integrity, data standards, emerging Data Officer training requirements, metrics, reporting, and other data-related topics
Assisting in the creation and update of data strategies and policies
Participating in internal and external meetings, supporting discussions, and engaging in targeted activities related to strategic initiatives, Agency transformation, and strategic communications
Facilitating and leading data-related meetings, including preparing and disseminating briefings, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions
Conducting focused analysis and assessments to support “data-centric” strategies
Assisting with the management of Data Management Programs
Collaborating with Agency Communications Teams to maintain and organize the Chief Data Officer’s SharePoint sites, ensuring logical organization and accessibility for stakeholders
Assisting with NCERTS Taskers, including creation, submission, tracking, consolidation, compilation, and reporting of results and feedback to leadership
Assisting with Weekly Activity Reports, including creation, submission, tracking, consolidation, compilation, and reporting to leadership
Creating, writing, and finalizing documentation for communications and publications regarding Agency activities, including coordination with internal and external partners and the Agency communications division
Required Clearance:
Must be a U.S Citizen
Must hold an active TS/SCI security clearance

Bachelors Degree and 7+ years of demonstrated experience in strategic communications, analysis, project planning, goal setting, mission and vision statement development, policy development, and excellent writing skills; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
