The Strategic Analytics Team provides business performance analysis, forward-looking guidance, and ad hoc strategic insights across the business. Your Responsibilities
- Support the Sr. Manager, Strategic Analytics for Midscale brands. This includes strategic analysis and presentation storytelling. This position may require occasional delivery of stakeholder presentations.
- Measure success through tracking and analyses. Apply prescriptive and predictive analysis techniques to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Partner across the Analytics team to represent the segment (e.g., partner with Data Visualization team to create real-time dashboarding, Data Science team to provide development modeling, Commercial Analytics on initiative ROIs, etc.). Regularly socialize with Segment team.
- Assist the Sr. Manager in preparing strategic quarterly reviews of performance. This includes segment analysis, press releases, and earnings releases.
- Network with the CALA team to understand their data, analytics, and reporting requirements as well as identify strategic opportunities for analytic value creation.
- Consistently seek out and promote innovative solutions or approaches to problem solving in a highly flexible and interactive manner.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in a field such as statistics, analytics or other quantitative fields required.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Expected to interact occasionally across the organization.
- Must be agile in transitioning from project to project in a dynamic workplace and be able to effectively multi-task and prioritize.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills required. Ability to tell a story and advise strategy based on data.
- Ability to query data and leverage various platforms (SQL, Tableau, R or Python).

- Background in travel or hospitality a plus.
Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Sr. Manager, Strategic Analytics, Upscale & Midscale, Domestic and CALA. You will have 1 peer teammate and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Senior Analyst, Strategic Analytics, Midscale Brands, Domestic and CALA, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $85,294.00 to $107,500.00 annually.
The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
