Leidos is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer in Fort Belvoir, VA to support large-scale migration and operations on a large, high-profile DOD contract. The I3TS program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable DTRA’s Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD) to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRA’s internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations
The Sr. Storage Engineer will be responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware. Responsibilities will include management of systems infrastructures, implementing best practices to Identify and recommend system functional specifications, configuration of physical and virtual systems, backup and recovery of IT infrastructure, updating and supporting systems by tuning performance and allocating storage space.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare for disaster recovery, storage capacity, and provide performance analysis.
Ensure a high level of storage availability and reliability of storage infrastructure.
Monitor storage capacity and performance, and provision storage for use.
Troubleshoot storage system performance and capacity issues.
Support multiple storage and database technologies,
Provide senior level engineering design support to provide enterprise- level data exchange solutions using physical and virtual server hosting, off-site data replication and service level storage solutions.
Evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, and performs problem isolation and resolution; and monitors, tunes, sets standards and maintains a range of compute, networking, and storage systems.
Performs these functions across physical media, Operating Systems, File Systems, protocol stacks & network components.
Uses monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems; gauge performance and activity.
Devises solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.
Develop and execute contingency plans for compute host system, storage, and network related software/hardware failures including isolated and major outages.
Update system and process documentation as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
Advanced knowledge and experience with VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and/or Red Hat Virtualization (Design, Build, Operate), especially vSAN configurations.
Cloud storages solutions, such as Azure Blob and Amazon S3.
Understanding of Backup/Recovery systems such as Veeam and/or Commvault
Extensive prior experience migrating/consolidating SAN/NAS
Must currently possess a Secret with ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
Cisco and Brocade Fibre Channel switches; FCoE
IT Certifications such as A+, CCNA, CCNP, Security +, CISSP, etc
Preferred Qualifications:
Past or current ISSM/ISSO experience

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
