Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family
Are you a strategic thinker who thrives on complexity, builds influence at all levels, and knows how to protect and enhance reputation on high‑profile projects? If you’re ready to step into a key regional role, we’d love you to bring your expertise to our whānau and help shape how we work with communities across Tāmaki Makaurau.
As a Senior Stakeholder Manager at Fulton Hogan, you’ll provide strategic direction and leadership for stakeholder and community engagement across major projects and programmes. You’ll be the trusted advisor to our regional business leaders, guiding how we navigate sensitive issues, political and reputational risk, and long‑term relationship management with communities, iwi, councils, and key partners.
You won’t just implement engagement plans – you’ll set the strategy, lift best practice, and lead others to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes that reflect Fulton Hogan’s REAL values.
Key Responsibilities
Set and lead stakeholder strategy across multiple projects and programmes, designing and governing engagement frameworks.
Lead early engagement and consultation to shape project scope and mitigate community, political, and reputational risk.
Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on complex stakeholder issues, media sensitive matters, and high-risk decisions.
Lead, mentor, and develop stakeholder and engagement teams, and coach project and site leaders on best practice engagement and communication.
Act as the escalation point for complex complaints and politically sensitive situations, including crisis/incident communication, and oversee media monitoring and insights.
Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance for public facing communications and project level engagement plans, ensuring alignment with brand, legal, and client requirements.
Build and maintain high value relationships with senior external stakeholders (e.g. councils, iwi, business partners, community leaders) and provide thought leadership on engaging diverse communities.
Stay close to project delivery while focusing primarily on direction, oversight, coaching, and safeguarding Fulton Hogan’s reputation rather than day to day coordination.
