What You Will Do:
We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff Wireless Engineer to drive architectural innovation and solve complex system-level challenges in our wearables products. You'll work closely with senior leaders in audio, speech, and RF domains to solve complex system-level challenges and develop cutting-edge wireless solutions that shape the future of our products.
- Design and develop wireless communications systems for wearable products, focusing on 802.11 protocols and embedded Linux platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of wireless technologies
- Develop and implement WiFi and Bluetooth solutions, including coexistence, optimization, and power consumption
- Drive technical innovation and solve complex problems in wireless communications
- Lead or mentor technical team in design and development of wireless components, sub-systems, and/or systems for medical wearable devices
- Apply and mentor others on advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts across various products within business unit
- Translate user needs to design inputs/ specifications and produce system/architectural level layouts and platform designs
- Develop and influence a number of invention disclosures, patents or trade secrets
- Lead code reviews for projects/systems as independent reviewer applying design principals, coding standards and best practices
What You Will Need:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline
- 6+ years of work experience in embedded Linux development, specializing in 802.11 WLAN and Bluetooth
Preferred Qualifications:
- IEEE 802.11 network implementation and protocols (n/ac/ax)
- Enterprise security standards (EAP-TLS, EAP-Fast, PEAP, 802.11r)
- Rate adaptation algorithms, power save modes, and QOS implementation
- Linux WPA supplicant modification and WiFi-BT coexistence
- Bluetooth integration into embedded systems
- TCP/IP protocols (RTP, RTCP, SIP signaling)
- Experience with Public and Private 5G technology
- Experience with UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology
- $153k - $255k salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
