Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a global technology and data company that builds verification, optimization, and analytics solutions for the advertising industry and we’re looking for a Staff Engineer to join our team. As a Staff Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and expertise to help build ad verification, analytics, and anti-ad fraud solutions that deliver on the team’s mission of helping advertisers publishers understand the quality of the ad data they’re purchasing within the digital media ecosystem.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, dedicated, has a track record of architecting and building end-to-end software solutions, enjoys working in a collaborative agile environment, and will be the ‘go to’ person for technical advice and expertise for our platform.
What you’ll do:
- Architect, design, build, and integrate solutions for our data platform to enhance our reporting functionality
- Lead the entire software lifecycle, including hands-on development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation, in addition to mentoring the team
- Partner with the Product team and other stakeholders across the company to understand product requirements, gather business and technical requirements from clients, and research and develop solutions
- Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, exciting, collaborative environment
- Stay up to date with the latest Data technologies and trends.
Who you are and what you have:
- BS in Computer Science, or related STEM degree
- 7+ years of recent hands-on programming experience in Data Engineering
- Strong understanding of SQL, Data modeling and ETL
- Strong knowledge of various data formats such as Parquet, JSON, CSV, Avro
- Experience using Big Data frameworks and platforms (e.g. Databricks,Spark), databases (e.g., RedShift, Snowflake) for complex data assembly and transformation
- Experience in full software development, Agile, and CI/CD
- Experience partnering with Product and other high level stakeholders across the company to meet business deliverables
- Experience building production level systems in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
What puts you over the top:
- Familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake
- Experience working with Data Build Tool (DBT) and Semantic Modeling
- Experience in AdTech
- Experience with Looker
- Full stack experience across APIs and ETL Pipelines to deliver data to clients.
