Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the company application software and internal software tools
- Contribute to the specification and implementation of a robust software architecture for all Spryte software
- Contribute to the research and development of image processing algorithms and techniques, including AI
- Contribute to creation and revisions of Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and risk analysis documents
- Design, implement, and test software per defined architecture and SRSs
- Develop rapid prototypes for demonstrating new features, GUI ideas, and for hardware evaluation
- Participate in evaluation and selection of supporting software, including SOUP (Software of Unknown Pedigree)
- Maintain software cybersecurity documentation, including evaluation of CVEs in third party software.
- Contribute to any refinements to the Software Development Lifecyle and subsidiary procedures as needed. Ensure that these procedures comply with applicable regulations. Ensure that software deliverables comply with these procedures.
- Participate in software code reviews and design reviews
- Participate in the creation of Intellectual Property
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Ability to work on-site at our Bedford, MA office
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering and minimum of 6 years of experience in developing software for medical devices
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar degree or equivalent job experience
- Proficiency in Object Oriented languages, C++ required and Qt Framework highly desired
- Proficiency in software development best practices including software source control, e.g., git
- Experience leading projects through full software project lifecycle
- Proficiency in automated test solutions is highly desired
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, and JavaScript is highly desired
- Good grasp of modern User Interface / User Experience concepts highly desired
- Experience in medical device / ISO 13485 environment highly desired
- Proficiency in Algorithm Development, image and signal processing, including Machine Learning is preferred
- Previous experience in development of software and algorithms for diagnostic medical imaging devices

Skills Required
