Role
We are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore, reporting to the Director, Software Engineering within the Shared Platform Services department.As a technical leader, you will design and develop high-performance, scalable APIs and microservices that power our core infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between user requirements and long-term architectural excellence, ensuring our software is secure, reliable, and built for global scale.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Architect and develop high-quality, performant, and secure APIs and microservices that serve as scalable building blocks for our ecosystem
- Partner with front-end engineers to define user requirements and deliver robust endpoints that enable the creation of intuitive interfaces
- Champion a DevOps mindset by leading efforts in continuous integration, automated testing, provisioning, and deployment
- Drive strategic technical contributions, including system design and the evolution of long-term platform architecture
- Develop and extend in-house APIs and client-side code, ensuring seamless interaction across RESTful services and SDKs

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software application development within complex, large-scale environments
- Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Cloud, and Security, along with Quarkus frameworks
- Proven expertise building distributed, cloud-native applications using Dapr and Kubernetes with a focus on reliability
- Direct experience with containerization and deploying applications on Docker or Kubernetes within AWS, GCP, or other major cloud providers
- Strong ability to adapt and work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment under minimum supervision
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Deep technical knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and container infrastructure internals
- Polyglot versatility with the ability to switch between Java, Go, and Python based on project requirements
- Hands-on experience building and managing Gitlab CI/CD pipelines
