DescriptionVerily’s Research Solutions team is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead our Sponsor Digital Protocol product — an end-to-end solution that modernizes how sponsors author, structure, analyze, and operationalize clinical trial protocols.
This sponsor-facing product spans the full protocol lifecycle, including structured authoring, digitization into machine-readable formats, AI-driven protocol intelligence and insights, and downstream system orchestration across research platforms.
As the product owner, you will define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Sponsor Digital Protocol. You will develop deep insight into sponsor workflows and market needs, identify opportunities for differentiation, and partner across engineering, data science, clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams to deliver scalable, AI-enabled capabilities that improve trial design and execution.
This role requires strong domain fluency in sponsor-side clinical research and the ability to translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into impactful, scalable product solutions.
Define and drive the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for protocol digitization, aligning it with Verily’s vision for research solutions, platform capabilities, and overall company priorities.
Partner with senior engineering, data science, product and clinical leaders to design scalable, AI-powered solutions that automate protocol understanding, standardization, and data integration.
Translate complex sponsor and operational needs into high-impact product capabilities, influencing both internal platform architecture and external partnerships.
Lead cross-functional execution across multiple product areas, balancing near-term delivery with long-term innovation and platform scalability.
Establish and track success metrics to measure adoption, data quality, and business impact—informing continuous improvement and strategic investment decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, Life Sciences, or related field.
8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of enterprise healthcare or life sciences software products.
Experience building eClinical or clinical research software products for Sponsors (e.g., CTMS, EDC, eTMF, protocol design tools, or data platforms).
Strong understanding of sponsor-side clinical development and operations workflows.
Experience partnering with engineering teams to deliver data-centric or AI-enabled product capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s, or equivalent experience).
Experience with clinical research data standards such as CDISC, FHIR, HL7, and USDM (Unified Study Definitions Model).
Familiarity with structured protocol data, protocol digitization initiatives, or workflow automation in regulated environments.
Track record of launching and scaling enterprise healthcare products with measurable adoption outcomes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $169,500 - $254,500 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
