About Wayflyer
Today's small businesses need a capital provider that keeps pace with their growth ambitions. Traditional financing options are slow, cumbersome and often out of reach. That's why we built Wayflyer.
Our technology allows us to assess businesses in minutes, generate financing offers that reflect their growth potential and send funds in as little as 24 hours. To date, we've deployed over $6bn to thousands of businesses worldwide, backed by Tier 1 banks like J.P. Morgan.
You'll be collaborating with ambitious colleagues from around the world. We have offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin and Sydney.
The Challenge
Wayflyer moves fast, and the product has to keep up. We're building financial tools that businesses actually rely on - complex workflows, dense data, high stakes - and we need a designer who can make all of that feel effortless. That's a hard problem. It's also a genuinely exciting one.
We're hiring at Senior+ or Staff level depending on where you are, what you've built, and how far your influence reaches.
What You'll Actually Do
Own complex product problems from discovery through delivery, helping define what we build, why it matters, and how success is measured.
Design end-to-end journeys, workflows, interaction models, and high-fidelity experiences across web and mobile products.
Prototype concepts early and often to explore ideas, align stakeholders, and accelerate learning.
Translate complex financial concepts, workflows, and data into intuitive and scalable user experiences.
Contribute to and evolve our design system, balancing consistency with thoughtful innovation.
Collaborate closely with engineers throughout implementation to ensure quality and thoughtful execution.
Challenge assumptions and help shape product decisions with a long-term platform mindset.
Participate in design critiques and contribute to a culture of feedback, learning, and continuous improvement.
For Staff-level candidates, help elevate design quality across teams through influence, mentorship, and strategic design leadership.
Who Thrives Here
You don’t wait for perfect requirements and enjoy helping define the problem before designing the solution.
You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy creating clarity where none exists.
You have strong product instincts and can balance customer needs, business goals, and technical realities.
You care deeply about design craft and believe details matter.
You know that trust is built through hundreds of small interactions, especially in financial products.
You believe simplification is one of the hardest and most valuable design skills.
You are comfortable challenging assumptions, advocating for customers, and raising the quality bar when it matters.
You enjoy collaborating across disciplines and influencing decisions through strong thinking and communication.
You use AI as part of your workflow to learn, explore, prototype, and improve the quality of your work.
You want to work in a fast-moving environment where initiative, curiosity, and impact are valued.
How You Think and Work
You have experience designing digital products, ideally within fintech, banking, lending, payments, or similarly complex domains.
You have a portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking, interaction design excellence, and exceptional visual craft.
You connect customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints to create meaningful product outcomes.
You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and independently driving work forward.
You know how to simplify complexity without oversimplifying the problem.
You use evidence, and data to inform decisions while maintaining strong product intuition.
You communicate clearly, tell compelling stories, and can influence decisions across different audiences.
You care about outcomes as much as outputs and understand how design contributes to business success.
You continuously raise the bar for yourself and the people around you through feedback, collaboration, and high standards.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to frame challenges and guide teams through decision making
