Job Summary
The Senior Staff, PLM Strategy (P05) is responsible for enabling, advancing, and governing the enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) strategy, operating model, and transformation roadmap. This role partners with business, functional, and technology leaders to align PLM capabilities with enterprise objectives, enabling scalable business growth, operational excellence, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making.
The position serves as a recognized enterprise thought role, driving future-state PLM capabilities, business process architecture, solution strategy, data governance, and organizational change. Operating with a high degree of autonomy and influence, the role translates long-term business priorities into strategic PLM investments and transformational initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. The role acts as a key link between executive vision, business capabilities, technology strategy, operational execution, R&D formulation requirements, master data architecture, and solution/data architecture decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Evolve and champion the enterprise PLM vision, operating model, capability strategy, and multi-year transformation roadmap aligned with business priorities and growth objectives.
- Lead business process architecture and value stream transformation, driving standardization, simplification, and future-state operating models.
- Evolve enterprise PLM architecture, champion data governance, and capability frameworks that enable scalable Product lifecycle management across business functions, ensuring alignment between business capabilities, digital platforms, and enterprise data management.
- Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing stakeholders to understand formulation BoM lifecycle updates, translate formulation changes into PLM requirements, and clarify the intended business, compliance, data, and operational outcomes of each change.
- Collaborate across PLM, R&D, MDM, Quality, Manufacturing, IT, Solution Architecture, and Data Architecture teams to align change intent, impact assessment, data readiness, and implementation outcomes.
- Develop and govern integrated PLM and MDM roadmaps, aligning master data strategy, information architecture, data governance, solution architecture, and digital platform capabilities with enterprise priorities.
- Drive digital transformation and innovation by evaluating, championing, and responsibly adopting AI/LLM capabilities, automation, advanced analytics, process mining, and emerging technologies to improve business value, operational effectiveness, and user experience across the PLM ecosystem.
- Establish governance and portfolio management frameworks to prioritize investments, manage risks, and maximize business value realization.
- Influence executive decision-making and investment prioritization through strategic planning, business cases, and value realization frameworks to influence strategic decisions and align PLM initiatives with enterprise objectives.
- Provide thought leadership and organizational capability development by mentoring teams and promoting best practices in PLM strategy and transformation.
- Measure and communicate business value realization, defining strategic KPIs, capability maturity metrics, and transformation outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, Information Systems, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Typically, 10–15 years of progressive experience in PLM, enterprise architecture, business transformation, digital strategy, product lifecycle management, Master Data Management (MDM), solution architecture, data architecture, or R&D/product formulation environments.

- Experience with R&D collaboration, requirements translation, and change management
- Proven ability to develop PLM & MDM strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks
- Knowledge of Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, and Enterprise Information Management
- Familiarity with AI/LLM, analytics, automation, and data-driven operating models
- Experience in enterprise transformation, process optimization, and capability for maturity development
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, Engineering, Technology, or related field)
