The Senior Staff Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial accounting and reporting for Renesas Electronics Europe.
The role covers statutory accounting, period-end closing activities, and finance process coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement in accounting processes across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and perform month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements
- Ensure accurate statutory accounting and support preparation of statutory financial statements
- Coordinate external audits, respond to audit requests, and ensure timely closure of audit findings
- Act as key finance contact for banking, tax authorities, and external advisors
- Monitor balance sheet accounts and perform regular reconciliations
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and harmonization of accounting processes across European entities
- Support finance transformation initiatives, systems improvements, and SAP‑related enhancements
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX controls (where applicable), and audit requirements
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to management and other finance teams in Europe

Required Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Professional qualification (Bilanzbuchhalter IHK, ACCA, CPA) preferred
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, controlling, or audit
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory accounting requirements
- Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred) and financial reporting systems
- Solid understanding of internal controls and audit processes
- Experience in a multinational or matrix organization preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage
