Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to act as a key technical leader in building and scaling Experian’s global DataHub platform. In this role, you will architect and deliver large‑scale distributed systems, drive full‑stack development, and collaborate with global teams to expand data integration capabilities. You will play a critical role in setting engineering standards, ensuring production excellence, and enabling Brazil to lead global DataHub initiatives.
🛠️ Your key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture and delivery of complex backend and platform solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Design, build, and operate distributed systems using modern engineering practices and cloud-native technologies.
- Drive technical leadership through architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate closely with global stakeholders, including North America and KL DataHub teams, to expand integrations and data capabilities.
- Lead incident resolution, postmortems, and continuous improvement of reliability and observability.
- Promote high standards in testing (unit, integration, automation) and CI/CD pipelines with safe deployment practices.
- Mentor and support engineers, strengthening technical skills and fostering knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to inner-source initiatives and global engineering alignment, reducing duplication and improving reuse.
- Ensure security-by-design principles and proactively address vulnerabilities and compliance requirements.
- Drive full-stack delivery when needed (Java + Angular/React), ensuring high-quality user and platform experiences.
🎯 What we expect from you
- Strong experience in backend engineering, distributed systems, or platform engineering.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience with full-stack development using Angular or React (TypeScript, components, API consumption).
- Strong knowledge of system design, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS or ECS).
- Solid experience with testing practices (unit, integration, acceptance automation) and CI/CD pipelines (deployment, promotions, rollback strategies).
- Familiarity with tools such as OpenAPI, Jenkins, SonarQube, and security scanning tools (e.g., Veracode or Checkmarx).
- Experience with event-driven or data streaming patterns (e.g., Kafka or similar).
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and security awareness.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions.
- Experience working in global, distributed environments, with strong collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with modern engineering tools (e.g., draw.io or similar).
- Adoption of an AI-native mindset, including usage of tools such as Cursor, Claude (or equivalent), MCP, and agentic engineering practices.
- Advanced English proficiency is required.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model based in São Paulo/SP.
