As a Fab Engineer at Micron, you will collaborate with process and equipment teams to develop, optimize, and start up manufacturing processes. You will drive product quality, yield improvement, and cost reduction by resolving line issues using FMEA, 8D, and SPC methodologies. Key responsibilities include managing equipment/material evaluations, qualifying new process baselines, and auditing suppliers to meet Micron's performance and risk management goals. Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Process Optimization: Establish and improve process conditions and parameters across various equipment to enhance capability and reduce production costs.
- Project & Change Management: Define and modify process management projects, including the evaluation and planning of new equipment or materials.
- Analysis & Solving: Conduct technical analysis to resolve process abnormalities and drive continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related, with 3+ years of front-end semiconductor manufacturing experience and demonstrated process integration exposure.
- Technical Expertise: Proven ability to perform complex, data-driven root-cause analysis on yield/integration issues, with a solid understanding of device-process interactions and system-level trade-offs.
- Collaboration & Influence: Experience partnering with PI, PE, Device, Yield, TD, and Quality teams to influence technical decisions through analysis and insight.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reviews, deep dives, and cross-team alignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DRAM & Integration Expertise: Direct experience with advanced DRAM nodes, technology ramps, and ownership of integration loops or yield matching.
- Operational Standards: Skilled in developing BKMs, managing POR/TOR definitions, and performing change risk assessments (ECN) from an integration lens.
- Analytics & Solving: Proficient in statistical analysis or yield modeling to lead high-impact technical investigations and SWAT teams.
- Leadership & Knowledge Sharing: Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and serving as a technical reference within the organization.
