Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to process improvements. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
