About this Role
You will play a significant role in maintaining the financial books and records, and owning the accounting operations for vendors and suppliers. You will be preparing journal entries, drafting schedules and completing reconciliations. You will be also responsible for preparing detailed financial reports, including segment of region performance. This role involves providing more advanced financial analysis. You will collaborate with finance and other departments to deliver insights that support strategic decision-making, often tailoring financial data to the needs of different stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring that the business unit’s accounting operations are functioning smoothly across all subsidiaries including the Polish entity.
You Will...
- Be responsible for posting payroll across Fandom subsidiaries, reconciling payroll accounts, and providing reports for analysis departments
- Preparing cash transitions in both Polish and foreign bank accounts, managing daily posting transactions, managing cash management reports
- Manage the supplier bills process and ensure timely payments to our suppliers for the Polish subsidiary using our established workflow chain
- Supporting tax and external audits, particularly in the areas of payroll and cash
- Leading process improvement initiatives
- Prepare month-end close schedules and reconciliations. Check month-end account balances and resolve any discrepancies that may arise
- Produce routine and ad hoc reports as needed
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Engage in other finance and accounting related activities and special projects
- Assist as needed for global tax and compliance tasks including Vat returns, VAT moss, and income tax
You Have...
- Completed university degree in the area of accounting and finance
- 6+ year of professional experience in accounting team
- Advance knowledge of basic accounting and tax regulations in Poland (Accounting Act, corporate income tax and VAT)
- Good knowledge of excel or google sheets - ability to create tables, pivot tables, use math functions like “sum if”
- Advanced communication (written and verbal) skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to accurately compare various data sets between accounting, HR, payroll and operations departments for reporting
Bonus Points if You Have...
- Working knowledge of NetSuite
- Payroll knowledge/experience in different counties
- Experience collaborating with International teams on accounting projects and audits
