Senior SRE

The Senior SRE Engineer is a key part of our SaaS platform strategy. In this role you will work closely with engineering and security teams to ensure the security, availability, performance and cost optimization of our cloud infrastructure. You will join an established Cloud Operations team.
 

As a Senior SRE Engineer, you will understand all components of the product and oversee the relationships and dependencies between the platform and the products deployed on it. You will shape the scope of your own work and influence the work of team members. You will translate business goals into engineering outcomes and ensure technical decisions align with company objectives. You will have significant influence on technical direction, team operations and production environments. You are recognized as a trusted influencer by other teams and departments.

• Mentor engineering teams in building scalable and performant applications

• Apply automation and create reusable features that translate operational insights into development practices

• Provide continuous feedback to Product, Engineering, Security and Cloud Operations teams

• Create proof of concept studies to evaluate new tools and services

• Design, implement, test, deploy and support infrastructure solutions

• Ensure security and compliance of the cloud environment

• Provide technical leadership to the operations team and act as a liaison between stakeholders

• Maintain SOC2 and ISO 27001 compliance
   

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Five or more years in a Cloud Engineer or DevOps role preferred

• Five or more years of experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Bash or Python

• Ideally five or more years of full time experience building and operating solutions on Azure

• Experience operating Kubernetes applications in production

• Experience managing a multi tenant, multi subscription Azure environment

• Experience implementing CI CD pipelines

• Understanding of Cloud Native best practices

• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases

• Experience with service catalogs

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

• Azure certifications are a plus
