We are seeking a skilled Senior SPM Design Engineer to lead the design and development of special purpose machines tailored to specific customer requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for taking concepts from idea to execution—creating innovative machine designs, developing detailed engineering drawings, and ensuring manufacturability and performance. You will work closely with production, quality, and vendor teams to bring designs to life, while also supporting installation and commissioning activities. The position requires strong mechanical design expertise, hands-on experience with automation systems, and proficiency in CAD tools. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and delivering customized industrial solutions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop special purpose machines (SPM) from concept to final execution
- Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Prepare assembly drawings, manufacturing drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Perform engineering calculations including load analysis and basic stress evaluation
- Design and integrate pneumatic and hydraulic systems into machine solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, vendors, quality, and maintenance
- Support manufacturing processes by addressing design-related challenges and ensuring feasibility
- Assist in machine assembly, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues during build
- Participate in on-site installation and commissioning of machines
- Continuously improve designs for efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization

Skills Required
