The Opportunity
Our Abbott Park location is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Corporate division, focusing on IT recruitment. This role is part of a global shared service organization supporting various product divisions, including Devices, Diagnostics, Nutrition, and Established Pharmaceuticals. The Senior TA Specialist will manage job requisitions, screen candidates, source passive candidates, and drive the full lifecycle recruitment process to completion.
What You’ll Work On
- Provide recruitment and customer service for IT and other client areas.
- Review account history and market/industry trends to develop hiring plans.
- Collaborate with internal clients to define position requirements.
- Source passive candidates and present diverse candidate slates.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate, and recommend candidates.
- Facilitate consensus building and decision-making among interviewers.
- Monitor recruitment metrics (cycle time, cost, quality) and address process non-compliance.
- Develop competitive offers and manage the offer process.
- Ensure a smooth candidate experience through onboarding.
- Maintain high levels of satisfaction with hiring managers and candidates.
- Keep the Workday database updated accurately and timely.
- Develop and execute strategies.
- Understand data, insights and manage storytelling.
- Consult, advise, and influence our stakeholders and candidates.
- Project manage on time, within quality expectations, and on budget. Act as a change agent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in recruiting, with a focus on IT roles.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools/social media.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong computer skills, including internet proficiency.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and pay attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with all organizational levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with employment systems, preferably Workday.
- Strong closing skills in a competitive market.
- Experience in a cross-divisional business unit model.
- Ability to work in a matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
- Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior recruiting experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Previous recruitment agency experience.

The base pay for this position is
$75,300.00 – $150,700.00
