WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, using your expertise to influence strategic decisions that shape Nike’s store portfolio optimisation and growth. As a key player in the 50-strong Stores Development team reporting directly to the Spatial Planning manager, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the Spatial Planning function. Collaboration will be at the heart of your work with colleagues
across Nike Stores, partner teams, and Global counterparts, as well as experts in Insights, Data Science & Analytics, and Strategy.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Senior Specialist to apply spatial insights that shape Nike’s future, supporting strategic investments and enhancing consumer engagement through an optimised store network. You are adaptable, collaborative, analytically strong, and proficient in geospatial data and software, with the ability to draw
and communicate insights that align with our overall strategic direction. You will ideally bring the following to the role:
A thought leader who can challenge the status quo, proactively identifying opportunities to innovate and drive competitive advantage through spatial planning strategies.
Exceptional spatial analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for both the big picture and the finer details.
A strong understanding of the geographic drivers that contribute to variable store performance, the typical location planning process, and the current retail landscape - particularly across major European cities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to distil complex data into clear, impactful messaging for all levels of leadership
Ability to lead and mentor junior teammates, promoting development throughout the team and ensuring high-quality outputs
Ability to show flair for visual presentation, from creative slides and reports to compelling maps and dashboards
Prior experience in spatial analytics for retail, preferably with a large retailer or specialist retail /property consultancy
Proficiency in Alteryx, Tableau, and other spatial data tools, as well as data management. Previous coding experience (Python, SQL) is an advantage
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) essential

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will assist the Spatial Planning Manager in the establishment and operation of the function, helping to provide support to 1-2 junior teammates. You will act as a key contributor to strategic fleet planning discussions, collaborating with leadership to inform decisions on market expansion, network optimisation, and investment priorities.
This will involve the following:
Develop and champion a roadmap for integrating advanced geospatial technologies and methodologies into the planning process, from store performance driver analysis to predictive sales.
Forecasting and spatial optimisation.
Lead high-profile initiatives that align spatial insights with consumer engagement strategies, ensuring store network decisions are data-driven and future-proofed.
Drive the evolution our spatial planning foundation, including maintaining and enhancing datasets, report automation, and documentation.
Partner with teams across Nike, from Stores Development to Global HQ, to create compelling presentations and contribute to regular high-profile fleet review processes.
Dive into a variety of ad-hoc projects, delivering insights on everything from store clustering and consumer segmentation to foot traffic analysis and the digital ‘halo’ effect.
