Purpose of Role

As a part of the Advisory, Consulting Solutions team in Knowledge Services function of MMGS, the candidate will support our colleagues, with sales enablement support, process management and advisory engagements related to Valuation Services Practice (VSP) across Marsh Advisory, Asia region

Key Responsibilities

Client Service

  • Execute impactful research and consulting projects on broader country & industries as assigned by Marsh Advisory leaders, and regional teams within the firm
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, manage expectations, address any issues or changes, and identify new opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders through delivering high-quality projects, being responsive and adaptable, and maintaining clear and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and support on business reporting activities, RFPs/ proposal preparation and provide insights relevant for pre-sales engagements
  • Develop and maintain the research database relevant for the business practice
  • Manage the storage and access process for data useful for the practice
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes by assistance, review and formatting of deliverables
  • Support on management of valuation templates, development of regular valuations specific management reporting i.e. sales reports
  • Identify and report any exceptions or deviations in projects, delivery processes, personnel, and policies, ensuring that they are promptly addressed and resolved
  • Uses analytical, facilitative and diagnostic skills to assist clients in the articulation of complex problems
  • Able to work with and manage multiple stakeholders and assist with project management and set up 

What you need to have: 

  • Masters / Bachelors in Economics or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) / equivalent post-graduation certification in Business Administration from a reputed institute
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in strategy consulting, research (quantitative and qualitative | secondary and primary) experience, at a leading professional services / consulting firm e.g. Big 4, public policy set-ups, financial service captives, or leading market intelligence / research firms
  • Exposure in delivering consulting assignment, building frameworks, drawing data driven insights and performing statistical analysis aligned to the ‘Sales Strategy’ focusing on clients / prospects, markets, sectors, competitors, products and regulatory developments
  • Strong foundation of quantitative research including clarity on statistical concepts with ability to translate data into meaningful insights. Deep understanding of financial concepts
  • Strong understanding of strategy frameworks (Porter’s 5 forces, BCG Matrix, McKinsey 7s etc.) and their applications in bringing out cutting edge insights
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, storyboarding and report writing skill
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, writing, listening
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel (including Macros, VBA), Access and SharePoint as well as MS PowerPoint and MS Word,
  • Extensive exposure of commercial databases such as: Cap IQ, Bloomberg, Market Intelligence Factiva, S&P databases, A.M Best Insurance service
  • Experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Excel/ Power BI-driven dashboards
