The Role: Senior Specialist, Production Planning

The role involves planning, managing, and controlling work orders to ensure customer commitments are met in terms of quality, delivery, and cost. The position also ensures that production activities are expedited flawlessly according to the plan.

What You’ll Do:

• Fulfilling customer commitments through well-coordinated and expedited production planning.

• Establishing production schedules with thorough discussion and anticipation from work cell team members. Effective coordination and follow-through are required to ensure the production schedule progresses as planned.

• Collaborating closely with the Buyer to ensure raw materials are delivered on time, meeting quality and cost requirements.

• Monitoring inventory movement for semi-finished and finished goods.

• Working closely with the Project team/Industrial Engineering (IE) in long-term planning decisions to fulfill customer demands. This includes recommending the purchase of capital equipment, floor layout changes, production methods, and material handling improvements.

• Ensuring backflushing is completed by the person responsible and reviewing work order variances before closing any work orders. Highlight any abnormalities found.

• Upholding corporate strategies and values in all planning activities.

• Supervising planning clerks/planners to ensure daily activities run smoothly.

• Participating in project calls/workshops as required.

• Managing inventory and On-Time Shipment (OTS) to meet targets.

• Meeting the work cell Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.

What We Seek:

• Degree or Diploma in Business Management or a related field.

• Minimum of 3-10 years in a similar role, with experience in working with plastic parts and resins.

• In-depth knowledge of production planning and inventory management.

• Familiarity with product and manufacturing processes.

• Proficiency in operating SAP systems, PBW, and IBP is an added advantage.

• Comprehensive understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14000.

• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Dedication to customer satisfaction.

• Focus on financial and cost management.

• Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently.

• Proficiency in project management and planning.

• Ability to communicate effectively at all level.
