Job Description Summary
The Mastercard office in Budapest is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Marketing Specialist to support the execution of marketing initiatives across the country. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and results-driven professional with a strong background in media planning and project management, who thrives in a dynamic team environment, is eager to grow, and brings fresh ideas to continuously improve marketing impact.
Job Title: Senior Specialist, Area Marketing (Fixed Term Contract - Maternity cover)
Key responsibilities:• Execute local marketing activities and campaigns across HU in line with business objectives and global priorities• Support the planning and implementation of integrated 360° campaigns with a strong focus on media planning and coordination• Independently lead assigned marketing projects end-to-end, ensuring timely, on-budget and high-quality delivery• Lead day-to-day project management of marketing initiatives, ensuring smooth delivery across channels and stakeholders• Coordinate with media, creative, and production agencies, providing clear direction, feedback, and ensuring timely execution• Monitor campaign performance, prepare regular reports, and recommend optimizations based on data and insights• Manage assigned marketing budgets, track spending, and ensure alignment with financial processes and forecasts• Support the development of marketing materials and presentations, ensuring consistency and high quality• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective marketing programs and activations• Proactively bring new ideas and solutions to enhance campaign performance and ways of working
About the role:• Execute marketing plans and activities in the Hungary in alignment with overall marketing and business strategy• Support media planning, including channel selection, budget allocation, and performance tracking• Lead and coordinate end-to-end delivery of complex marketing projects, from concept through execution to post-campaign evaluation• Take ownership of selected key initiatives (e.g. partnerships, campaigns, or special projects), ensuring strategic alignment, strong execution, and measurable impact• Drive cross-functional collaboration across marketing, product, and business teams to ensure integrated and effective campaign delivery• Oversee campaign development and execution, including messaging, assets, and communication flows across channels• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and smooth project delivery• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, bringing new ideas, formats, and approaches to enhance campaign effectiveness and customer engagement
All About You:
We're looking for someone who is very well organized, collaborative, and passionate about delivering high-quality marketing campaigns and projects, with 2-3 years of experience in related fields.
Ideally you:• Bring solid project management skills and are comfortable coordinating complex initiatives• Can manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively• Have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal• Are proactive, curious, and eager to learn and grow within the role• Have a data-driven mindset and can translate insights into actionable recommendations• Are experienced in working with agencies and external partners• Are confident in presenting ideas, results and communicating with senior stakeholders• Are not afraid to challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas and approaches• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborating with diverse teams• Are fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken• Experience in finance and/or technology industry as well as experience in media planning and campaign execution will be considered a plus

Skills Required

  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing or related fields
  • Project management skills; lead projects end-to-end and manage multiple initiatives
  • Media planning experience including channel selection, budget allocation, and performance tracking
  • Experience coordinating with media, creative, and production agencies
  • Ability to monitor campaign performance, prepare reports, and recommend data-driven optimizations
  • Budget management experience (tracking spending and aligning with financial processes)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; able to engage senior stakeholders
  • Fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken
  • Proactive, curious mindset and ability to propose new ideas and improvements
  • Experience in the finance and/or technology industry
