Cochlear Japan: The Japan operations (NCC) is one of Asia Pacific’s longest established operations, with the Tokyo office opening in 1989. Japan is an ageing country, and the ageing population is growing, leading to a higher incidence of hearing loss in over 65-year-olds. Hearing loss among the elderly is a huge opportunity. Our work in Japan focuses on raising awareness amongst the elderly whilst increasing better access and service to the Paediatric Market.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Marketing Communications Japan, reporting to the Director Marketing Japan based in our Tokyo office. In this role, the successful Senior Specialist, Marketing Communications Japan will have the opportunity to drive Cochlear business strategy for Japan to ensure Customer engagement and satisfaction as well as maximizing customer base revenue opportunities.

Accountability 1: Marketing Communications / Promotions / Events

 

· Develop and execute Cochlear business Marketing communications plans. Continuous improvement plans on results and actions required.

· Study and analyze recipient data, insight and market (including competitor information) to develop and drive service business and enhance customer satisfaction and engagement. Develop messages to support country and cultural nuances into marketing collaterals in line with APAC messaging strategy.

· Create and prepare communications i.e. brochures, advertising and direct mail to support and drive service business revenue and enhance customer engagement.

· Identify communication channels to facilitate delivering messages to Doctors/Speech therapists/candidates/recipients and interaction with them.

· Work with related team to implement service business activities such as events, promotions and other activities and work with and support cross functional team to implement their business activities from business perspective.

 

Accountability 2: Digital Communications

 

· Develop and execute Cochlear business digital communications plans to drive business revenue and enhance customer engagement. Continuous improvement plans on results and actions required.

· Develop a detailed understanding of the customer segments; their behavior in relationship to digital and online channels; and their information and support needs.

· Work closely with product management team/Field team to define and execute the digital communication strategy to support product launches for Cochlear business

 

Accountability 3: PR activity

· Develop and execute Cochlear business PR plans to expand awareness of Hearing Loss/Risk of Hearing Loss/Cochlear implants/Bone conductive device/Cochlear company among Doctors/Speech Therapists/Candidates/Recipients/Third party. Continuous improvement plans on results and actions required.

· Work closely with product management team/Field team/APAC team/PR Agency to define and execute PR strategy to support Cochlear business

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential

· 10 years experience of PR

· 5 years experience of Health care related Marketing communication

· Good communication skill in both English and Japanese externally and internally

· Willingness to take diverse and multiple responsibility

· Have a high consciousness to run a PDCA cycle for every project

· Business fluency level in English skill for communication with APAC
