Senior Specialist - International Tax

Summary :

Join our Tax team as a Senior Specialist, where you’ll support core international tax responsibilities. You’ll focus on cross-border tax matters, assistance with international tax disputes and reporting and monitoring global digital taxation developments.

In this role you’ll

Main responsibilities

• Support broader international corporate tax matters and projects, including permanent establishment exposure, profit attribution, withholding tax considerations, cross-border implications, restructuring support, and tax review of contractual arrangements.
• Deliver mandatory tax reporting obligations arising from EU directives (such as DAC7) and other EU/non EU reporting frameworks applicable to the group.
• Coordinate tax matters and disputes, proactively assessing and managing tax risks by working closely with local points of contact, consolidating stakeholder inputs, and preparing well-structured, audit-ready documentation to defend tax positions.
• Monitor and analyze new and evolving digital tax measures that may affect the group’s operations and revenue streams, flagging impacts and supporting timely responses.

About the ideal candidate

• Bachelor’s in law, finance, or economics and a Master’s in tax is required.
• Relevant experience in international corporate taxation (typically 4–5 years) within a Big 4 firm or an international tax law firm
• Experience in supporting tax matters / tax litigation, including drafting position papers, rulings, coordinating advisors, and preparing audit-ready files.
• Experience of interpreting complex tax rules and turning them into clear, actionable guidance for business and internal stakeholders.
• Experience of EU and non‑EU reporting frameworks and cross-border compliance requirements, with exposure to restructurings and cross-border transactions (tax impact analysis).
• High level of autonomy, ownership, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills in English and proficiency in Italian would be an added advantage
