The Opportunity
Manulife is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make decisions easier and lives better. The role is responsible for driving inforce portfolio performance, with strong focus on persistency management and supporting the actuarial pricing function.
This position plays a critical role in sustaining business value, ensuring continuity of analysis, and delivering actionable insights to improve policyholder retention and enhance product profitability.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deep dive analysis on persistency experience drivers to identify root causes and actionable insights as well as monitoring the key KPIs, regular reporting and emerging trends.
- Close collaboration with other functions (Sales, Operations, marketing, etc.) and other key stakeholders to influence and drive inforce initiatives and provide update to managements on timely manner.
- Supporting pricing related initiative, ad-hoc requests, and special projects when required.
- Determine opportunities for automation, streamlining and improvement of existing reports and operational processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, financial/actuarial analysis or related area
- Experience in actuarial work (pricing, valuation, experience studies, UAT, etc.) is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using tools such as Power BI, QlikView, Excel, SQL (or similar)
- Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and communicate them to various stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail and collaboration skills
- Ability to work as a team player while managing tasks independently.
