Job Description:
The Sr. Specialist II, MCS will serve as the key resource for providing answers related to questions and concerns received from our hosted clients during the implementation and migration processes. The incumbent will provide a specialized level of engagement between internal hosting implementation resources and other technical leadership and experts.- Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
- Consistent interaction with external clients including recurring calls, virtual troubleshooting sessions, and regular email cadence.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- Monitor server performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
- Implement and operate server, storage and backup infrastructure systems.
- Migrate, restore, and configure SQL databases between data centers
- Participate and assist in Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and execution.
- Manage the internal shared confluence site for internal reference materials.
- Facilitate project turnover and/or hand off is completed and ensure hosting client projects transition from implementation to client success smoothly.
- Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Software or related field.
- Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
- 7+ years Cloud based computing.
- Experience with NextGen Healthcare Practice Management; Electronic Health Record, or other PM systems and workflows.
- General healthcare experience in Acute or Ambulatory settings.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud-based services experience
- Project Management experience (Mavenlink preferred).
License/Certification Required:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- AWS or Cloud-based certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of: Strong understanding of cloud computing, database management, and systems integrations; deep knowledge of troubleshooting functionality between information systems. Proficiency of SQL and technical tools such as Sales Force, SAP, Confluence, Jira, PowerBI, and Mavenlink.
- Skill in: Communication (oral, written), interpersonal, customer service skills; analytical, critical thinking skills, organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to: Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems; comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
