The successful incumbent is responsible to conducting moderately complex financial, accounting and economic analyses, including journal entry preparation, taxation, treasury, payments and internal and external reporting.

We are looking for someone with:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/ accounting, professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is a plus
  • At least 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience in finance, accounting and taxation. Candidates with experience in banking or insurance companies will be of added advantage
  • Basic knowledge in Accounting and Taxation and operational systems, knowledge of the Sun Accounting System will be of added advantage

Nice to Haves:   

  • Knowledge of IFRS will be of added advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word is required
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, possess good inter-personal communication skill both internally and externally
  • High comfort level working in a diverse environment and a dynamic team player

On the job you will:  

  • Involve in monthly tax and annual Tax on Income preparation and declaration to GDT including E-filling
  • Involve in the daily Treasury Management and Relationship with Banking and financial institutions
  • Involve in review and processing payment as assigned by the manager   
  • Prepare/ post journal entries, perform reconciliations, assist in the month-end closing of the accounts
  • Coordinate with external tax consultant if any
  • Review the reconciliations and investigation on accounting issues
  • Assist in preparation the financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Participate in departmental special projects and perform other duties as assigned
