OVERVIEW
Communications Generalists responsible for executing Mexico communication plans; internal and external.
ROLE
External Communications • Support business units in the development and execution of external communication strategies, including product launches, announcements, and strategic initiatives.• Draft and coordinate press releases, media briefs, and key messaging aligned with corporate positioning.• Manage media relations by identifying opportunities, coordinating interviews, and supporting spokespeople preparation.• Contribute to strengthening Mastercard's thought leadership in Mexico through strategic storytelling and proactive media engagement.• Manage and execute sponsorship agreements, ensuring alignment with communications objectives and business priorities.• Support the planning and execution of key corporate events and brand activations tied to business sponsorship assets.• Manage and track the communications budget.• Collaborate with agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality communications initiatives.
Internal Communications • Lead the planning, content development, and execution of the Country Manager's monthly employee meeting, ensuring clear messaging and alignment with business priorities.• Manage internal communication channels, including digital screens and email communications.• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and distribute internal communications related to key initiatives, projects, and business updates.• Coordinate the flow of information between local and regional teams to ensure visibility of local initiatives.• Support leadership communications by crafting clear, compelling messages that reinforce company strategy and culture.• Manage communication workflows between local and regional teams, ensuring compliance with corporate reporting and communication processes.
ALL ABOUT YOU
• Strong strategic communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex business topics into clear, compelling narratives.• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and levels, including senior leadership, peers, and junior colleagues.• Skilled at aligning stakeholders and driving consensus through a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.• Sound judgment and discretion in sensitive situations.• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to prioritize effectively, balancing strategic thinking with timely and high-quality execution.• Experience supporting media relations, executive communications, events, and brand visibility initiatives.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
