We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist, Client Operations to join our Alternatives Transfer Agency team. This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of transfer agency services for alternative investment funds, ensuring high-quality client service, strong operational execution, and effective coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage day-to-day operational activities, support client servicing requirements, and contribute to process efficiency and control. The role requires an individual who is confident interacting with stakeholders, able to participate in client meetings and calls, and capable of representing the team in a professional and solutions-oriented manner. A demonstrated interest in AI capabilities, digital tools, and process enhancement opportunities will be viewed favorably, particularly where these can support operational efficiency and improve the client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end processing and administration of Alternatives Transfer Agency activities in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manage investor transactions and related transfer agency processes in line with internal procedures and service standards.
- Participate in fund launch projects and support related onboarding and implementation activities.
- Liaise with internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth execution of operational and client servicing activities.
- Interact effectively with stakeholders across functions, including operations, relationship managers, clients, and other service partners.
- Attend client meetings and client calls as required, providing operational updates, addressing queries, and supporting relationship management efforts.
- Monitor daily workflows and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients and stakeholders, while also serving as a lead point of contact for junior staff and providing guidance and support where required.
- Support issue investigation, escalation, and resolution, with clear communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain strong discipline in risk, control, and compliance requirements across all activities.
- Perform an oversight function to ensure adherence to SLDs and run service review meetings with stakeholders, as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.
- Support or participate in process enhancement initiatives, including the use of AI-enabled solutions, automation tools, and digital capabilities where appropriate.
- Assist with reporting, documentation, and any ad hoc projects relevant to the team’s objectives.

- Relevant experience in client operations, transfer agency, fund administration, or alternative investments operations.
- Good understanding of transfer agency processes and investor servicing within an alternatives environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Alternatives Transfer Agency or a similar alternatives operations role.
- Exposure to investor servicing and client relationship support.
- Familiarity with automation, workflow optimization, or AI-driven process improvements would be an advantage.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese and/or Japanese speaking ability is a plus.
