ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a System Support Senior Specialist in Backup to be included in the Data Protection Team for a cross-management of infrastructures including those relating to JAS (Judicial Authority Systems) services

Activity:

• Contribute to the management and governance of Operations including on-call availability.

• Manage Backup services and related infrastructures, which include the JAS area, ensuring their availability, updating and alignment with business processes.

• Support project implementations, especially those focused on technology refresh, cost optimization, performance improvement, security improvement, and resilience.

• Contribute to the implementation of Backup and Restore projects, their design and implementation.

• Governance of and on Audit and Compliance requirements. (SOX, GDPR, and corporate compliance requirements).

• Propose effective solutions for incident management.

• Ensure adequate monitoring and reporting of management activities.

• Monitor management KPIs for the data protection team, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.

• Proactively contribute to technical and management activities to achieve the set objectives.

• Identify opportunities for quality improvement through internal training and that of its partners.

• Coordination, assignment, monitoring of offshore activities/ticket teams (CIEC).

Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience in administering and managing backup solutions: Veritas NetBackup, Veeam and target storage (Veritas Flex Appliance, Data Domain, Hitachi) in complex industrial environments

• Knowledge of Linux (RHEL), Windows Server, Oracle, VMware environments

• Knowledge Networking

• Bash and Power Shell scripting experience

• Excellent organizational, teamwork and stakeholder relations skills

• Excellent troubleshooting and Problem-Solving skills

• Ability to manage escalating incidents (L1-L2-L3)

• Experience in coordinating with suppliers, partners and system integrators

• Knowledge of English, written and spoken (B2)

• Knowledge of the ITIL process

• Italian nationality and residence for operational compliance in the JAS field

Nice to have:

• Industry-standard certifications (Veritas Certified Specialist - VCS)

• ITIL Certification

• Knowledge of backup platform on Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Disaster Recovery Management

• Knowledge of general compliance requirements in the field of Security, GDPR, SOX
