We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Actuarial Analyst / Actuarial Assistant Manager to join our actuarial team. This role is pivotal in supporting actuarial reporting processes, contributing to the annual financial planning cycle, and assisting in the local adoption of IFRS 17. The successful candidate will also be involved in various ad hoc actuarial projects, providing analytical insights and technical expertise.
Position Responsibilities:
Support business-as-usual (BAU) actuarial reporting, including reserve reviews, experience studies, and management reporting.
Contribute to the annual financial planning process, including forecasting and scenario analysis.
Assist in the implementation and local adoption of IFRS 17, including methodology development, data validation, and system testing.
Participate in annual and ad hoc actuarial projects, such as basis change, product development, assumption reviews, and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Risk, and IT to ensure alignment and accuracy of actuarial outputs.
Effectively communicate the status and results of the changes to CA and/or CFO and other functions.
Ensure compliance with internal valuation policies and external regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Progressing through actuarial exams with an internationally recognized actuarial body (e.g., SOA, IFoA, etc.).
Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, AXIS) and data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python/R is a plus).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of actuarial experience, preferably in life insurance or financial services.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
