Position Summary
The Senior Sourcing Manager, Non‑IT Sourcing, is responsible for leading complex sourcing initiatives and category strategies across indirect, non‑technology spend. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, mitigate risk, and deliver long‑term enterprise value while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and contractual standards.
The Senior Sourcing Manager serves as a strategic advisor to business owners, leading competitive sourcing events, direct negotiations, and strategic reviews for high‑impact categories. The role also provides mentorship to junior sourcing team members and contributes to the continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools, and governance.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with spend analysis, financial evaluation, and scenario modeling to support sourcing decisions.
- Strong working knowledge of end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including intake and discovery, sourcing path selection, competitive events, negotiations, and contract handoff.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute category strategies informed by spend analysis, market intelligence, and supplier insights.
- Proven experience applying strategic sourcing levers such as supplier consolidation, scope optimization, pricing models, and contract structuring to maximize enterprise value.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex sourcing strategies, risks, and trade‑offs to both business partners and procurement leadership.
- Strong capability to partner with senior business stakeholders, guiding sourcing strategy decisions and influencing outcomes through data‑driven recommendations.
- Demonstrated strength in commercial negotiations, including pricing, service levels, contractual terms, and risk allocation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Ariba, Tableau and Microsoft Copilot
- Firm understanding of AI and how emerging technology is driving efficiencies in category management.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
