Position Summary:This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of procurement strategies and initiatives focused on cost reduction, supply base optimisation and rationalisation, quality improvement, risk assessment, and contract negotiation. The position drives strategic sourcing activities for assigned commodities and ensures the delivery of optimal quality, service, and value through disciplined bidding processes, effective negotiation, and strong supplier management.
What you will do:Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives.
Formulate and implement processes to build a best-in-class strategic sourcing organisation.
Develop and lead cross functional teams and lead the process to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategy, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs. Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required.
Leads development of contract strategy.
Negotiates, establishes, monitors and enforces supplier contracts and agreements.
Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses.
Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.
Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers.
Utilise market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
10 years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development. Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration.
Knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base.
International sourcing and supplier management experience.
Experience operating in a highly regulated industry. Medical Device industry sourcing and supplier management experience preferred.
Working knowledge of ISO13485 and ISO13485 standards.
Supplier Audit experience in quality system standards: FDA QSR, ISO3485 and ISO9001 preferred.
Professional certifications through APICS, ISM, and/or CSCMP.
