Summary:
In this role, you will provide strategic contracting and sourcing expertise/direction to facilitate the member’s life cycle contracting needs. You will build consensus between clients, vendors and Vizient by leading negotiations and crafting creative savings solutions for the Hospital Capital Equipment categories.
Responsibilities:

Design and deliver communication strategies to message recommendations, successes, opportunities, and challenges, including for more complex contracting needs (medical capital equipment).

Evaluate client spend data to prioritize implementation of contracts based on highest savings opportunities and present a plan of priority to clients. Partner with contract managers to elicit information, support, and develop amendments to existing Vizient contracts for specific client requirements. Work independently with legal team to negotiate terms and conditions of complex contracts (medical capital equipment), building consensus and executing to meet the needs of members, suppliers, and Vizient.

Manage the bid process and generate RFP’s, developing language and draft contracts with related documentation in accordance with governing laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Convert and submit purchase requisitions for approval, ensuring all orders are confirmed and procurement schedules are updated.

Work independently with internal and external stakeholders to develop contracts for specific client requirements including more complex contracting needs.

Develop customized contract strategy recommendations for more complex contracting needs (medical capital equipment) to reduce spend, improve operational efficiencies, maximize delivered value, and ultimately achieve a higher level of member satisfaction.

Identify and propose cost saving initiatives and ensure contract compliance terms and conditions typically assigned to larger and / or more complex member accounts and projects while conducting ongoing price monitoring and contract maintenance to achieve cost savings.
Qualifications:

Relevant degree preferred.

5 or more years of relevant experience required.

Strong negotiation skills, heavy sourcing experience, and excellent customer service skills strongly preferred.

Prior experience in project management a plus.

Health care contracting background with a robust knowledge of negotiations and sourcing preferred.

Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $146,700.00.
