JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electrical motor components and materials, focusing on cost optimization, quality assurance, supplier localization, and securing production continuity. Leading and track sourcing team activities. Manage relationships with local and global suppliers, conduct cost analysis, prepare & manage RFQs, and negotiate prices to achieve cost savings. Collaborate across teams to align sourcing activities with company goals, ensure compliance with standards such as ISO9001 and RoHS, and stay informed on market trends and new technologies to enhance sourcing strategies.
Major Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Follow global sourcing strategy. Develop and implement plant sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, MOQ, and delivery for direct & in-direct material of electrical motor components and commodities material on new model development and substitute material or alternative supplier. Identify potential supplier to increase localization ratio.
- Production securing : Responsible on commodity material booking based on handled forecast data. Monitoring material availability and supplier readiness to prevent production delays.
- Supplier Management: Aware, Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure consistent supply chain performance. Quick response to support secure production. Consider and propose proper supplier for MRO, services, spare parts and scrap bidding.
- Cost Analysis: Design, prepare and manage RFQ for cost studying and conduct cost analysis and negotiate price to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards. Able to prove supplier price adjustment monthly/quarterly with reasonable logic. Able to handle complex negotiation and report creation.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with supplier & quality team to ensure sourced components meet technical specifications and quality requirements. Support audit activity to ensure supplier has meet standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Able to lead or initiated work closely with engineering, production, planning and procurement teams to align sourcing activities with company goals.
- Compliance: Drive activities to comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Such as ISO9001 / 14001 / 45001 / RoHS / Reach / UL / PPAP.
- Market Research: Stay updated on market trends such as material & tariff, new technologies, and supplier capabilities to enhance sourcing strategies.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or Supply chain or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience with in sourcing or procurement in manufacturing industry.
- Understand manufacturing processes of electrical / mechanical parts
- Proficiency in cost analysis, supplier evaluation, and market research
- Proven ability to negotiate price/contract and build long-term supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with sourcing/purchasing tools and Oracle systems (if any)
- Problem solving ability to address supply chain challenges and create effective solutions.
- Able to drive car and have driving license for supplier visits.

Language: Good English communication skill. (TOEIC Score ≥ 650)
