The Role
We are hiring a Senior Solutions Manager to act as a commercially minded, client-facing bridge between NymCard’s clients, Commercial team, Product, Engineering, Risk, and Operations. You will translate client ambitions into practical, commercially viable solutions on NymCard’s issuing and processing platform, while managing client communications, expectations, and confidence from early discovery through to implementation handover.
You will lead discovery and solution design conversations, attend client meetings and workshops, and visit clients where needed to build strong relationships, clarify requirements, unblock decisions, and ensure all parties are aligned on scope, timelines, responsibilities, and outcomes. You will be expected to communicate clearly with both senior business stakeholders and technical teams, simplifying complex payments and issuing topics into clear choices, trade-offs, and next steps.
Success in this role looks like commercially sound deals, well-scoped projects, confident clients, clean handovers to delivery, and strong alignment between what is sold, what is designed, and what is delivered
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead client discovery sessions to understand business goals, commercial drivers, constraints, priorities, and success measures.
- Act as a trusted client-facing solutions lead, managing client communications, expectations, questions, and follow-ups throughout the solution design phase.
- Attend client meetings, workshops, and on-site visits where required to build relationships, clarify requirements, and drive alignment.
- Partner closely with Commercial & Product teams to support sales conversations, proposals, scope definition, solution positioning, and deal progression.
- Translate client needs into clear, practical solution designs that balance commercial value, platform capability, delivery effort, compliance, and risk.
- Produce functional solution specifications including user journeys, process flows, configuration plans, assumptions, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
- Break down solutions into MVP and future phases, helping clients and internal teams understand trade-offs, priorities, timelines, and change-control implications.
- Support commercial proposals with scope matrices, effort assumptions, solution narratives, implementation considerations, and change-control guardrails.
- Define API integration patterns, payload requirements, webhooks, events, retries, error handling, and reference materials for client and internal teams.
What You Bring
- 6 to 8 years in solutions, business analysis, or technical consulting within fintech, payments, or banking
- Proven experience working directly with clients, including leading workshops, managing senior stakeholders, handling difficult conversations, and setting clear expectations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical, product, and payments topics in a simple, structured, and commercially relevant way.
- Strong capability to translate requirements into functional specs for API-first products
- Practical understanding of card issuing concepts: tokenisation, 3D Secure, limits, fees, authorisation to clearing and settlement
- Familiarity with scheme and sponsor expectations and how they impact design choices
- Proficient with diagramming and documentation tools; produces clear diagrams and concise specs
- Organised and reliable with clean documentation and follow through across multiple workstreams
