About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Solution Engineer to work closely with enterprise customers, partners, and our sales and product teams. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities and requires the ability to understand complex business and technical requirements, design solutions, and lead implementations from proof of concept through production deployment. The

ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist who understands modern networks, cloud infrastructure, observability, and analytics and can translate customer challenges into scalable solutions using Selector's platform.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for Selector's operational intelligence and analytics platform across network, cloud, application, and security workflows.
  • Partner directly with enterprise customers to understand their technical requirements, operational challenges, data sources, and business objectives.
  • Lead solution architecture, design, development, and implementation of Selector solutions for complex enterprise environments.
  • Take a hands-on role in integrating Selector with customer infrastructure, data sources, APIs, monitoring systems, and operational workflows.
  • Own and lead customer Proofs of Concept (POCs), from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, validation, and executive demonstration.
  • Lead customer deployments from initial design through production rollout, ensuring successful adoption and measurable business outcomes
  • Develop scalable data pipelines, integrations, dashboards, analytics, correlations, and workflows tailored to customer requirements.
  • Work closely with Sales and Account teams during pre-sales engagements, including technical discovery, solution presentations, demonstrations, architecture discussions, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate customer requirements into product enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other Solution Engineers and customer-facing technical teams.
  • Develop reusable deployment methodologies, automation, documentation, runbooks, and best practices to improve implementation efficiency
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and work cross-functionally to drive issues to resolution.
  • Enable customers to independently operate, extend, and derive value from Selector's platform.
  • Represent customer requirements internally and provide actionable feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
  • Travel to customer and company locations as required.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, systems engineering, network engineering, DevOps, observability, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience with Python.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions across on-premises and public cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more major public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, YAML, REST APIs, and modern cloud-native technologies.
  • Strong experience working with SQL to extract, validate, transform, and analyze data; experience using Jupyter notebooks or similar data-analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including technologies such as Data Center, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, DNS/DHCP, Load Balancing, BGP, and network monitoring.
  • Experience with network monitoring, observability, telemetry, event management, or network analytics platforms.
  • Experience working with APIs, streaming data, logs, metrics, events, and other operational data sources. 
  • Ability to understand complex customer environments and translate technical requirements into scalable solution architectures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong customer-facing skills and experience working directly with enterprise customers.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while managing multiple customer engagements and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and company locations as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with observability, AIOps, network analytics, or IT operations platforms.
  • Experience with technologies such as Prometheus, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, SNMP, Syslog, or similar monitoring and telemetry platforms.
  • Experience implementing AI/ML or LLM-based solutions for enterprise operations.
  • Experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code technologies.
  • Experience leading enterprise POCs and complex production deployments.
  • Experience working with large telecommunications, retail, media, financial services, or technology organizations.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical project teams.

Compensation

The salary for this role is $150,000 – $180,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience and job location, and may vary from the amount listed.


Skills Required
