Job Description- Serves as a senior strategic partner to prospects and clients, leading complex, high-value consultative sales engagements to close new business and expand Nielsen’s relationships with a diverse set of accounts
- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in Pre-Sales solution consulting across Cross Platform Ad Measurement and Outcomes solutions, specific knowledge of Nielsen’s Audience Measurement product suite a plus
- Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices across the broader Pre-Sales function
- Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative, enterprise-level solutions
- Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
- May lead functional teams or projects, including mentoring Senior Solutions Consultant (Pre-Sales) I team members
Responsibilities
Commercial Goals
- Strategic Market Capture: Owns and evolves the high-velocity sales strategy for N1 Ads and Outcome across a diverse set of accounts, setting the playbook that can be leveraged across the Pre-Sales function
- Revenue & Quota Attainment: Delivers consistent over-performance against aggressive revenue targets, driving enterprise-wide new logo acquisition that can scale to achieve high-volume adoption of N1 Solutions
- Cross-Sell and Upsell Leadership: Partners with Account Management and Consumption Sales leadership to architect deep, enterprise-wide integration of N1 Ads & Outcomes into client workflows
- Strategic Client Engagement: Develops relationships with top customers, partners, and stakeholders; represents Nielsen at flagship industry and client events as a subject-matter authority
- Account and Territory Planning: Owns strategic account and territory planning for designated portfolio, and guides Account Management and cross-functional leads on top product opportunities
Sales-Specific Responsibilities
- Revenue Generation & Pipeline Leadership: Holds ultimate accountability for end to end management of sales pipeline, ensuring rigorous forecasting and the conversion of high-value prospects into long-term strategic partners, operates with speed to meet business goals
- Deal Architecture & SME Leadership: Serves as the senior subject matter expert and escalation point for complex deals, leading product overviews, demonstrations, and methodology deep dives, and architecting winning pricing strategies and enterprise value propositions
- Full-Funnel Solution Selling: Owns and evangelizes the enterprise “Full-Funnel” strategy, integrating Brand and Sales Lift products into a holistic, outcome-based offering across the broader book of business
- Operational Excellence: Partners with Revenue Operations leadership to define and optimize sales tracking KPIs and lead-to-close process improvements
Consultative Selling
- Serves as the senior strategic advisor to client and prospect decision makers, mapping Nielsen’s full product portfolio to enterprise-level business goals and ROI needs
- Anticipates potential objections and influences senior stakeholders to adopt new points of view on measurement strategy
Product Expertise
- Maintains strong cross-portfolio knowledge of Nielsen’s Ads and Outcomes solutions, and the broader media/ad tech ecosystem, serving as the go-to subject matter authority for the Pre-Sales team
- Expert storyteller with data and software demonstrations — able to translate complex product capabilities and analytics into clear, compelling value propositions for senior client stakeholders
- 10-15 years of experience in ad measurement, media, agency, or adtech/programmatic sales, with recognized expertise in Pre-Sales solution consulting
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services
- Leads others to solve complex problems; uses analytical thinking, tools, and judgement to identify innovative solutions
- May lead teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
- Proven B2B sales experience with a demonstrated track record leading enterprise-level deals
- Advanced business development and negotiation skills; ability to manage and influence C-suite and other executive-level client relationships
- Advanced analytical skills to synthesize complex, cross-portfolio data into strategic recommendations
