Job Description: 

Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a highly experienced Technical Solution Architect/Data Engineering SME to support DIA’s new modernized business platform development as part of the Chief Financial Officer Technology Center (CFOTC) Modernization of Migration Management (M3) Program Management Office (PMO). You will work closely with other members of the PMO team, CFO Officers, and other software vendors to develop the future platform. As a solution architect, you will write responses, collaborate and work daily with other developers, architects and personnel from operations to develop implementation and data integration strategies. You will be expected to use your experience, knowledge of data engineering, systems and architecture, and current information as well as your domain expertise, skills, and experience to analyze information and implement proactive and consultative approaches for responding to requests for task execution plans. As a Solutions Architect at Tria, you will provide key pursuit (management and technology) leadership around data engineering and software engineering offerings to provide higher level/value-based services, solutions and capabilities in support of the government marketplace. This position requires someone that can work comfortably and simultaneously in an advisory, business, engineering, information technology, and operations environment understanding government customers' needs and then be able to articulate, write responses for the solution and capture strategy that targets those needs. As a Tria solution architect, you will lead solution sessions with other vendors and customers to develop a) system requirements, b) operational/systems graphics, c) use cases, d) schedules/timelines, e) risk plans and f) critical success factors. You will be expected to have the ability to understand existing customer landscape, perform gap-analysis solutions and be able to develop roadmaps to optimize written solutions for current and future IT customer investments and products. Additionally, you will also be expected to hone your technical skills in all aspects of data and software engineering. You will find yourself involved in modernization projects, potentially assisting in building proof of concepts, engaging startups for joint solutions, and testing potential candidate technologies for our solutions.​​​


Basic Requirements:  

  • Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong presentation skills and producing high level graphical (Ovs/SVs) and system architectural drawings for government leadership.
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Automation platforms, Data engineering platforms, Data fabric platforms.
  • Proven experience in production support or operations role, preferably in an automation environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology or related field required.
  • 4 years of overall software development experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with software programming (Javascript, .NET, C++, Python or equivalent), database programming (Oracle, Postgres or equivalent) or automation development
  • 3+ years of experience with DevSecOps, release management, & implementation tools & processes.

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Appian experience preferred
  • UiPath experience preferred
  • Financial system experience preferred

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with a cross functional team of engineers, developers, and government financial analysts to understand requirements and architecture to develop robust data engineering and software solutions.
  • Build reference architectures for our data engineering solutions.
  • Work closely with developers to implement enhancements and updates to existing data-centric solutions, including data fabrics, data management, data pipelines, data taxonomy.
  • Perform key tasks in the engineering team including detailed design, interface definition, data mapping, CI/CD data pipeline integration and tier level-1/2/3 support as necessary.
  • Work with cyber team to ensure that data engineering solutions adhere to security and compliance standards.
  • Help curate and lead the construction of a new Appian, UiPath, ServiceNow module based platform focused on data engineering and AI/ML solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing time-sensitive, complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders and/or external vendors using both traditional waterfall and agile /spring methodologies.
  • Establish the milestones for the various sprints and releases that would be required to deliver solutions to all the prioritized requirements.
  • Experience in managing project timeline and financials along with risks, issues, decisions, and changes.
  • Mentors the team with Agile knowledge to ensure scrum and other relevant methodologies are understood and applied.
  • Provide solution architecture where intelligent automation is a critical component.
  • Assist the CFO Technology Cener  in developing notional reference architectures and developing automation platforms for our customers.
  • Lead oral presentations, technical challenges, oral challenges.
  • Thoroughly document all engineered solutions, including application to customer technical requirements, and customer expectations to help ensure successful implementation.
  • Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of relevant web application stacks, security, cloud computing, industry direction, and trends.
  • Author white papers, solutions, and present solutions.

Top Secret  Clearance:

Top Secret Clearance is required with the ability to obtain a SCI adjudication and pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph

Work Location:

Hybrid location with expectation to be onsite at DIA Headquarters in Washington, DC 3 days a week, 4-8 hours a day. This requirement can increase or decrease based on customer needs.

Please Note: Work location requirements vary by program. While many roles support remote work, some projects may require partial or full on-site presence based on contract and client needs. Specific work location expectations will be communicated during the hiring process.
