Job Description

At RESPEC, Senior Solutions Architect, Order to Cash (O2C), is responsible for the technical implementation of our billing projects and other engagements. Implementation may begin with pre-sales activities and product demonstrations to help close contracts and will always involve solutioning the full order to cash process for the end client and the specific functionality of that process flow done within the vendor-partner platform. A deep understanding of telecom and enterprise domains is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting requirements gathering and analysis with clients
  • Performing fit gap analysis on business requirements
  • Documenting requirements and user stories
  • Designing design and documenting solutions, including the approach to pricing, rating, billing, invoicing, use of discounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and integrations with Content Relationship Management (CRM), tax, payment and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Developing code quality for the implementation team
  • Ensuring the overall technical success of each engagement
  • Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients
  • Presenting technical information to clients clearly and concisely, regardless of the technical depth of the audience
  • Assisting the sales team in client meetings, product demonstrations, responding to proposals, and pricing statements of work
  • Providing end-to-end testing of solutions collaboratively with the customer and consultants
  • Providing expert advice to the advisory team to assist them in identifying and closing business
  • Being actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Guiding and mentoring other RESPEC consultants
  • Training customers on solutions delivered by RESPEC and its technology partners
  • Leading a multi-disciplined team of software engineers working on complex software projects
  • Acting to resolve issues that prevent the team from working effectively
  • Operating in an advisory capacity to support the Advisory Program and Billing Program
  • Working with Project Management to establish requirements and estimate project development costs. 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent educational background
  • 10+ years of billing consulting and implementation experience
  • Experience delivering end-to-end solutions through the entire software development lifecycle—from running the client-facing workshops, design, build, test, deployment, User Acceptance Testing, and handover
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills at the business and technical level
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team to deliver exceptional customer results in a rapid-paced implementation environment
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge in all aspects of enterprise and telecom order to cash
  • Database and reporting experience
  • Software development experience preferred
